This Week’s Spotlight

Amos Bar-Joseph, CEO of Swan AI (2x-exited founder, ex-KPMG advisor), reveals how his Tel Aviv startup uses AI to:

  • Sequences 2.0: one or two relevant touch points when something happens inside an account, instead of 30 touch points across 45 days. Amos says reply rates and conversion rates increased dramatically.

  • Fewer system interactions: sellers spend around 60% of their time working in systems across 13 different tools, and Swan is built to cut that.

  • Accounts in parallel: a list of maybe 1,000 accounts managed over a quarter or a year, instead of betting the team on a single intent account.

5 Tactical Takeaways (Steal These for Your Team)

  1. The scaling paradox. Sales automation promised more time with buyers, but sellers ended up spending around 60% of their time in systems across 13 tools. Swan uses AI to cut system interactions so sellers spend more time with people.

  2. Do it by hand first. Every process starts manual. Once the founders find what works, they document it and teach an agent to do at least 80% of it, not 100%. Customer support was the first example.

  3. Scale with intelligence, not headcount. Amos describes three founders trying to get to $30 million ARR with no additional hires, by scaling "without adding more bodies but with adding more intelligence".

  4. Intent without the roulette. Amos says intent data feels like a Russian roulette to sales teams. Swan reaches out when something relevant is happening inside the business, rather than guessing who is in market.

  5. One interface. Swan runs as a Slack app. To research an account or change the ICP definition, the seller messages the agent, which Amos says turns 30 minutes of work into 10 seconds.
